What is the nature of the work like in the program?
As an ADP Associate, you will have rewarding and challenging work that will enable you to develop your leadership and technical skills, while helping you drive your career forward. You will be an integral part of a Finance team, working closely with other associates as well as leaders at all levels. You will have the ability to own and drive projects, develop in-depth analysis, and contribute to your team in a meaningful way.
Why do you have to be tied to a campus location to be part of the program?
While we follow a flexible hybrid work schedule including in-office and remote workdays to support our associates’ important balance between work and life, we also recognize that the collaboration, networking, and interaction that takes place in the office with other colleagues is invaluable in continuing to support your development and strengthen our community.
What is a leadership mentor?
Mentorship is a critical developmental aspect of the ADP, and as an associate, you are paired with a leader as part of a formal mentorship. The leader can provide coaching and guidance to help you progress in your development and meet specific goals you have in place. In addition, a peer mentor will help guide and support you as you are getting settled in the program and learning about Unum.
How many rotations can I expect throughout the program?
The ADP is typically a five-to-six-year program, and you can expect three to four rotations of approximately 18 months each.
What support is available as I work toward my FSA?
As a leadership development program, the ADP has high expectations for both professional development and performance. To support your success in attaining your credentials, we offer comprehensive exam support and incentives as you are working toward your ASA and FSA.
How does my experience in the program change as I move up in my career?
As you continue to progress in your career, the expectations for your leadership strength and technical acumen will increase. You will be given opportunities to delve into more complex analysis, lead higher profile projects, and have even more visibility to present to senior leaders. You may also have the opportunity to manage interns or junior associates as you progress.
What kind of rotations are offered in ADP?
ADP offers a wide variety of rotations including experiences in Corporate Actuarial, Dental, Enterprise Risk Management, Prophet, and opportunities to work in pricing, modeling, planning, experience analysis, or valuation for our Group, VB, IDI, and LTC products.
How are future rotations determined?
Selecting rotations is a collaborative process between the associate and the program leadership. You are able to share your preferences on your most desired rotations, and the program leaders will match those based on business need and your development goals. Rotations are designed to provide you a well-rounded experience across a broad range of financial functions.
